Meet CPS Performance Materials' Leadership Team

Jeremy Steinfink is the CEO of CPS Performance Materials. Prior to joining CPS in 2018, Mr. Steinfink was the President and General Manager of Vertellus Specialties, a leading provider of specialty chemicals for agriculture, nutrition, pharmaceutical, fine chemicals, medical, personal care, plastics, coatings and other industrial markets. Prior to joining Vertellus Specialties in 2008, Mr. Steinfink served in various management roles at Honeywell International. Mr. Steinfink has an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. from Tufts University.

Bob Nobile is the CFO of CPS Performance Materials. Prior to joining CPS in 2018, Mr. Nobile served as the CFO of Paperworks Industries, a portfolio company of Sun Capital. Mr. Nobile also previously served as CFO/SVP of OPNEXT, as CFO/SVP of Kodak Polychrome, as CFO of Polychrome Corp. and in various roles at Arthur Anderson. Mr. Nobile is a CPA and has a B.S. in Accounting from St. John’s University.

Louis Graham is the Chief Safety, Process Safety & Environmental Officer for GEO.  He joined GEO in June 2012 as Director, Process Safety Management/Compliance.  In January 2015, he assumed responsibility for Environmental Affairs and in August 2018, Mr. Graham was promoted to his current role.  Mr. Graham has over 30 years of experience in the chemical industry.  Prior to joining GEO Mr. Graham held various plant and corporate leadership roles in Engineering, Environmental Affairs, Safety & Process Safety for Hercules Incorporated, Reichhold Chemicals, Inc., and Dow Reichhold Specialty Latex, LLC.  While with Dow Reichhold he served as Chairman of the Delaware Chemical Industry Council.  He is a native of Montana and received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University.

Nick Liptrot is Senior Vice President of the Paints and Coatings Division. He joined Hythe in 2000 as Divisional Finance Director, and became Managing Director in 2007. Prior to GEO, he held senior finance and operations positions in various global manufacturing companies. Mr. Liptrot received a BSc (Hons) in Finance from the University of Salford and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Erik Dihrkop is Vice President of the Specialty and Construction Division.  He joined GEO in November of 2013 as Account Manager for the Paints & Coatings Division.  He held the role of Global Sales Manager for the Specialty & Construction Division before being promoted to General Manager in July 2018.  Prior to joining GEO, Mr. Dihrkop began his career as Chemist for Sigma-Aldrich Isotec before transitioning into Technical Sales Representative for the West Coast.  Mr. Dihrkop received a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Chemistry, with focus on organic synthesis, from Wright State University. 

Joe Beatty is Vice President/General Manager of the FAR Specialty Chemicals business unit of CPS Performance Materials. Prior to its acquisition by CPS in 2018, Mr. Beatty served as CEO of FAR Chemical, a supplier of challenging chemistries to the Pharma, Advanced Materials and CASE markets. Mr. Beatty has held a variety of executive management, sales, and operations positions in the specialty chemical industry including CEO of Xolve Inc., Managing Director of ColorMatrix Corporation and various VP roles with MetoKote Corporation, Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Eastman Chemical, Resolution Specialty Materials and WR Grace. Mr. Beatty has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Joseph Gelo is Vice President/General Manager of Cyalume Technologies Inc. Mr. Gelo joined Cyalume in October 2019 following a career working for multiple companies in the chemical industry. He most recently served as Director of Product Management for Vertellus Inc. a diversified specialty chemicals manufacturer primarily positioned to serve the agricultural, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. Prior to that , he was a Business Leader for Honeywell’s Spectra Fibers business, a manufacturer of high strength synthetic fibers used primarily in armor protection applications for the military. The majority of Mr. Gelo’s career was focused on sales, marketing and business management of catalyst and adsorbents used in the Petroleum Refining and Petrochemical markets; during this time he was employed by Union Carbide and UOP (a technology licensing company based in Chicago). Mr. Gelo holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
